Blue Moon Snowdon Challenge with The Autism Directory
Raising awareness of Autism on Wales’ highest mountain!
The Autism Directory are inviting you to join them to trek to the summit of Snowdon under the light of a Blue Moon.
Leaving Llanberis in the early hours accompanied by a team of professional mountain leaders, you will head along the Llanberis Path to the summit of Snowdon (or Yr Wyddfa to use its Welsh name) reaching the summit in time to see the sunrise from one of the most beautiful destinations on earth.
You will return along the same path in the first light of dawn,reaching Llanberis just in time for breakfast.
About The Autism Directory
We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to create a better and more independent life for themselves, and with the right support and resources this can be achieved.
We focus on getting people the help they need, and we do this via our main services.
The reason why the directory want to do this event is to raise awareness and acceptance of autism, to bring the autism community together, wherever they live, from all walks of life, to challenge themselves to help make a difference and to raise funds for much needed support.

Registration is free until 4th March 2019!
Please fundraise a minimum of £140 for The Autism Directory. Enter the code AD2019 when you book.

20% of your total will be donated to Side by Side – the choir that supports autism awareness.
To secure your place you will need to have fundraised £100 by 19th March 2019

Please note that, although we would love to, we cannot guarantee a clear sky for this event!
The organisers hold Public Liability Insurance. We recommend that you take out separate personal accident insurance for this event.
This is an example itinerary, exact details will be sent to you in your event information pack 2 weeks before the event.
12.30am – Meet in Llanberis for registration
1.15am – Introduction to your mountain leader. Safety briefing.
1.30am – Start walking
5am – Reach the summit (sunrise 5.10am)
5.15am – Start the descent (turnaround may be quicker depending on the weather)
8am – Arrive back in Llanberis for a well earned breakfast
Please note this is 12.30am – 8am SUNDAY morning
This challenge is suitable for anyone over 16 with a good level of fitness*.
We recommend our ‘Challenging’ Training Plan for this trek.
You will be expected to complete a medical declaration to take part.
*Children 16+ can come along under the supervision of a responsible adult (1 adult per child).
