A Nature Trail for Families – Snowdonia Walking Festival
Date/Time: 03/11/2018 - 04/11/2018, 11:00 am - 12:30 pm Location: Waterloo Hotel, Betws-y-Coed
A Nature Trail for Families
A short walk with fun activities for all the family
A Nature Trail for Families is a chance to take a close up look at the trees and other wildlife found around Betws y Coed.
The various activities of humans over the millennia have influenced what lives and grows here in North Wales and our weather dictates how it survives!
There will be a handout for adults and a ‘find and identify’ game for primary school age children.
Only 20 places available each day so booking essential.
This nature trail is mainly for children aged 4 – 12 but also interesting for adults. Recognising trees in winter, learning about lichens and ferns, how humans have made the landscape around Betws-y-Coed.
All children should be strictly under the supervision of a responsible adult (1 adult per child).
We are very lucky to be joined by Jennifer Morgan in leading this walk. Jenni is a lover of nature, experienced teacher and leader of walks and outdoor workshops for children. She has previously worked for the RSPB and the Wildlife Trust.
Please dress appropriately for the weather.
