Snowdon Sunrise Challenge
with Lindsey Lodge and Rotherham Hospice
Trek to the highest point in Wales in time for sunrise and help Lindsey Lodge provide specialist care.
A night time trek by the light of your head torch (and hopefully a starry sky) to the summit of Snowdon in time to see the sunrise across Snowdonia.
Leaving Llanberis in the early hours accompanied by a team of professional mountain leaders, you will head along the Llanberis Path to the summit of Snowdon (or Yr Wyddfa to use its Welsh name) reaching the summit in time to see the sunrise from one of the most beautiful destinations on earth.
You will return along the same path in the first light of dawn, reaching Llanberis just in time for breakfast.

Lindsey Lodge
Situated in the heart of North Lincolnshire, Lindsey Lodge has been providing high quality, specialist palliative care and wellbeing services to local people and families living with life limiting illnesses for over 29 years.
Every year, our dedicated team of staff and volunteers touch the lives of hundreds of people, either directly as patients, or by supporting family members or carers, before, during and after one of the most difficult times in their lives.
Rotherham Hospice
At Rotherham Hospice we believe in Compassion, Choice and Dignity for all. We are the only adult Hospice in the Rotherham area, providing specialist end-of-life care and support, free of charge to the people of Rotherham and their close ones. Our Community Team cares for patients in their own homes, and our 14-bed In-patient Unit provides a cosy sanctuary for those whose symptoms cannot be managed from home.
As a charity we rely on the generosity of our local community to raise £3 million each and every year so we can keep supporting our Rotherham families. Thank you!

Registration fee £20
Please aim to fundraise a minimum of £250.
Once you have registered details will be sent to you on how to set up your fundraising page.

Please note that, although we would love to, we cannot guarantee a clear sky for this event!
The organisers hold Public Liability Insurance. We recommend that you take out separate personal accident insurance for this event.
This is an example itinerary, timings will depend on sunrise times on your chosen date
12.30am – Meet in Llanberis for registration
1am – Introduction to your mountain leader. Safety briefing.
1.30am – Start walking
5am – Reach the summit (sunrise 5am)
6.15am – Start the descent (turnaround may be quicker depending on the weather)
8.30am – Arrive back in Llanberis for a well earned breakfast
Please note this is SATURDAY morning.

This challenge is suitable for anyone over 14 with a good level of fitness*.
We recommend our ‘Challenging’ Training Plan for this trek.
You will be expected to complete a medical declaration to take part.
*Children 14+ can come along under the supervision of a responsible adult (1 adult per child).
