Join The Osborne Trust Team to trek to the highest point in Wales in time for sunrise and support children during a parent’s cancer treatment.
Trek to the summit of Snowdon / Yr Wyddfa in time to see the sunrise across Snowdonia.
Leaving Llanberis in the early hours of Sunday by the light of your headtorch. Accompanied by a team of professional mountain leaders, you will head along the Llanberis Path to the summit of Snowdon (or Yr Wyddfa to use its Welsh name) reaching the summit in time to see the sunrise from one of the most beautiful destinations on earth.
You will return along the same path returning to Llanberis for a well deserve breakfast.
About The Osborne Trust
- £10 send an Ozzy the Elephant Teddy to a child for cuddles and comfort whilst Mum/Dad is having cancer treatment.
- £25 provides a support package to be posted to a child/family containing a journal, colouring book, flash cards and reading books to support a child’s emotional wellbeing
- £40 enables 2 children and an adult to go to the cinema for some respite.
- £100 sponsors a family to access ip to 3 local activities so children can have some time away from the home all that cancer entails.

Sign up before 31 March 2022 for just £25 (£40 if you sign up after this date).

Please note that, although we would love to, we cannot guarantee a clear sky for this event!
The organisers hold Public Liability Insurance. We recommend that you take out separate personal accident insurance for this event.
This is an example itinerary, exact timings will be sent to you in your Information pack
12.45am – Meet in Llanberis for registration
1am – Introduction to your mountain leader. Safety briefing.
1.15am – Start walking
4.45am – Reach the summit (sunrise 4.50am)
5am – Start the descent (turnaround may be quicker depending on the weather)
8am – Arrive back in Llanberis for a well earned celebration
Confirmation of details will be sent to you in your event information pack 2 weeks before your challenge
This challenge is suitable for anyone over 12 with a good level of fitness*.
We recommend our ‘Challenging’ Training Plan for this trek.
You will be expected to complete a medical declaration to take part.
*Children 12+ can come along under the supervision of a responsible adult (1 adult per under 18).
