During daylight hours Snowdon is a wonderful adventure for the whole family.

Snowdon, or Yr Wyddfa to use its Welsh name, stands at 1085 metres and is the highest mountain in Wales (and higher than any in England). Its rugged beauty attracts people from all over the world. Views from the summit have been voted the best views in the UK.

Create memories to last a lifetime while raising funds for this wonderful charity.

About Severn Hospice

Severn Hospice provides specialist care and emotional support for families in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Mid Wales living with an incurable illness.

Our mission is to provide the best care and a better life for people living with an incurable illness, and for those important to them.

All our care is provided for free, but it is not without cost – we have to raise £2 for every £3 we spend.

It’s because you care that we can.

Ascent

975 metres

Walking Distance

9 miles/14.6km

We want everyone to enjoy their challenge and reach the summit in their own time so will walk at a pace suitable for the whole group. It is important that the group stays together with the leader/s. Depending on numbers taking part groups may be split into smaller groups of similar pace and ability.

Please note that, although we would love to, we can’t promise clear skies on this day.

If you are 11 or over, of a reasonable fitness and can walk 3-4 hours comfortably with some hill walking experience then this challenge is for you.

If you are not sure about fitness levels but are committed to put in some training over the next few months we have specially designed training plans to help you along the way. We recommend the ‘Challenging’ training plan for this event.

All walkers should be 11 and over and any under 18’s should be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Sorry, no dogs.
