6 Reasons why you should take part in The Snowdonia Challenge
We are on count down to The Snowdonia Challenge with less than 16 weeks to go and only 7 weeks until booking closes!
If you’re still thinking about taking part but can’t decide, here are the 6 main reasons why we think you should..
1. It’s the first one!
A brand new shiny challenge for you to take part in. We intend to run this event annually, this is your chance to say you were there at the beginning.
2. It’s in the most beautiful place in the world!
Ok, so we are maybe a little bit biased here.. but.. North Wales was voted the fourth best place to visit in the world by Lonely Planet, and Snowdonia came top as the best place to visit in the U.K. by readers of Wanderlust Magazine.
3. It’s a challenge like no other!
The Snowdonia Challenge was inspired by an event in the Netherlands which has been running over 100 years and attracts 46,000 people each year. There is no other challenge like it in the U.K. Yes there are a few 100km challenges but these are endurance events. Doing 30-35km in a day is a challenge in itself, but then getting up and doing it again the next day and the next poses a different challenge in itself on both a mental and physical level.
4. It’s an amazing journey!
What you will learn about yourself and others by taking part in this challenge is invaluable. Whether you take part as a team or do it on your own it’s an experience that will stay with you for the rest of your life.
5. You will be inspired!
This weekend isn’t just about walking. In the evenings we have some amazing and inspirational special guests coming to tell us their stories. Alex, Jason and Kelda are all friends of ours and we can promise that their stories are not to be missed. You can find out more about our special guests here.
6. You will get all the support you need!
We know that you need information and support, sometimes even reassurance or just someone to be able to pick up the phone to running up to the event. We won’t sign you up and then leave you to get on with it.. We can provide the support you need because we’ve been there so we get it!
Remember if you’re thinking of taking part you don’t have to do it on your own.. if you can’t drag any friends along to take part with you then why not join one of our charity teams? You can find a list of all our partner charities and links to their websites here.
