Are You Ready for the Journey?
Snowdonia’s Unique Walking Challenge
Now in its fourth year this 3 day walking challenge is the only event of its kind in the UK! Not for the faint hearted, to take on the full challenge you will need commitment and determination to prepare for and complete this event.
Snowdonia Challenge is a test of mental and physical resilience and team work and will take you on a journey of self discovery. It is inspired by multi-day challenges used as military training events in Europe.
The first Snowdonia Challenge was held in Betws-y-Coed, North Wales in 2017. The perfect base to explore some of the less visited parts of Snowdonia with some of the best views the national park has to offer.
This is not just about challenge and adventure though.
Come on your own or come as a team; taking part in the Snowdonia Challenge you will be part of an amazing 3 days where you will make new friends and explore parts of Snowdonia you’ve never been before.
Full event – 3 day walking event – 100km over 3 days
Or if you’d like to be a part of it but can’t commit to the full 3 days then join us for 1 or 2 days.
Snowdonia Challenge is inspired by an event held in Holland which started in 1909 as a military training event and now attracts 46,000 military and civilian participants each year.
“I took part in Nijmegen Marches in 2009 and it was life changing. It took me on an incredible journey self discovery and proved to me what commitment and determination could achieve. I’m positive by taking part in Snowdonia Challenge you will experience the same range of emotions and feelings of personal achievement that I gained in 2009. I very much look forward to seeing you there and sharing this adventure with you.”
Tracey – Breese Adventures co founder and creator of Snowdonia Challenge
This challenge is suitable for anyone over 18 who is confident of their fitness levels or ready to commit to training over the next few weeks and months.
Our Training Plans are specifically designed for this type of event. We recommend you are at ‘Tough’ or ‘Challenging’ level for this event, but even if you don’t feel fit enough yet you can start with the ‘Beginners’ plan and work your way up.

"The best 100k we've ever done" - Snowdonia Challenge 2017
All members of the team we met were very helpful and encouraging. This has been one of the most organised events I have taken part in, you seem to have got it almost right 1st time, well done.
This was such a fantastic event, tough enough to be a challenge for mere mortals, yet achievable to anyone with the determination to train and push themselves. It was also an emotional journey that will stay with me for a long time.
The challenge was so phenomenally well organised and you, Tracey and your whole team were absolutely brilliant. See you all next year!
Well done guys on a very successful Snowdonia Challenge 2017. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole weekend and cannot begin to thank you enough for such a well organised event. Every last detail was thought of and every person who formed part of the organisation for the weekend was knowledgeable, approachable and motivating! We met some fantastic people and made amazing memories. Thank you Tracey, Stiwart and team very very much. We wish you every success!!
